Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces and dressings
- Cook and assemble dishes according to recipes and specifications, ensuring consistency and quality of presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, fryers, and slicers
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with management to ensure adequate stock of ingredients and supplies
- Collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate timing and execution of orders during service
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety
- Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries, rotating stock, and organizing storage areas
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand, lift, and carry heavy objects for extended periods
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Experience working with specific cuisines or cooking styles
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
Dishwasher
- 20hrs a week
- 3pm or 4pm-8pm
- Friday, Saturday, Sunday; other hours possible
- $15/hr
Responsibilities:
- Washes, stacks, sorts, and stores dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware.
- Maintains a clean kitchen and keeps dish area organized
- Sets up dish stations, including dishwashing machines and sinks.
- Maintains clean, dry floors throughout the shift.
- Cleans and sanitizes storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators.
- Assists in storing food deliveries.
- Monitors trash cans throughout shift, making sure to removes full trashcans and boxes as needed and at the end of each shift.
- Maintains the cleanliness of dry storage areas and the organization of storage shelves.
- Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef and other managers as needed.
- Follows sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Ensures that dishwashers are in working order and reports problems as they arise.
- Assists with closing, including mopping and aiding in the sanitation of cooking and food preparation stations.
